DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT​​​​

Aminated movie "Depth" is built on environmental themes. It is about restoring connection with nature, with something more ancient that human. In the beginning the main character gets scared when facing the "other", someone who is different from him. He sees animalistic features as "monstrous" and dangerous, so he runs away. But when he sees true beauty of nature, he is able to reconnect with it and accepts it. He wants to try to live peacefully with nature again, so he comes back to sea. Marine life is a treasure of our planet and it's very fragile. I tried to remind this to viewers through watercolor art of underwater scenes.
