DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

In an attempt to assess the state of love in the age of its technical reproducibility, DÏÀTRIBA explores the desolate gap between technological perfection and the organic

imperfection of emotions. Through a grotesque language, the film investigates the existential void that can arise from the search for an artificial solution to genuine pain.

The short film’s aim is not to offer a sterile, moralistic critique of technology in its entirety, but rather to explore the deep human need for authentic confrontation, a need now belonging to a lost world —that clash which generates knowledge and growth. Every argument, every quarrel (unless it is a mere, destructive, self-indulgent manifestation of selfishness) is a crucial moment in the human experience. The absence of this conflict, of the art of dialogue and dialectics, creates an emotional void that the film underscores through the perfect yet cold execution of the protagonist’s demands.
